UK Power Networks: Priority Services Register

UK Power Networks delivers electricity in your local area, regardless of which company you pay your energy bill to. Signing up to our Priority Services Register for free ensures you receive priority support in the event of a power cut. If you or someone you know relies on electricity for medical reasons, has a young family or is over 65, we can provide you and your family with extra support such as access to a 24 hour helpline and other welfare support.

By registering you could get free support including:

  • A priority number that you can call 24 hours a day
  • Text and voice message alerts as well as a dedicated team who can contact you to keep you updated during a power cut
  • Tailored support if needed, such as home visits, hot meals, advice and keeping your friends and relatives updated

We can also put you in touch with experts who can offer you advice on energy bills and other energy saving tips.

Who can use this service?

Any resident in Essex and Hertfordshire. Eligible customers could be anyone including: Those over 65, Families with children under 5, Anyone with a disability or facing physical or mental health difficulties, Anyone dependent on electricity to store medicines or operate medical equipment, Anyone whose first language is not English or Those dealing with life-changing events circumstances such as bereavement.
