Friends of Hardie Park

We are a community cafe offering light snacks coffees, ice-cream and company, situated in Hardie Park, Stanford le Hope. The cafe space is used for many groups with clubs and activities for all generations. Craft/Cribbage/Book Club/Petanque/Walkers/Gardeners/Knitters. We run a community pop-up project where our volunteers collect surplus food daily from local supermarkets and offer to the community from 11am in the cafe. We never know what, or how much we are going collect, it is offered on a take what you need, donate if you can basis. See you soon!

  • Pop in for a chat in our cosy community cafe. Always a friendly face.
  • Our community pop-up operates on a ‘Take if you need’ and ‘Donate if you can’ basis. Nobody needs a referral or any other qualifying criteria to pop in. We are not a ‘Foodbank’ and receive no direct funding to run our food project.
  • Our cafe is open 7 days a week for the community and we are always looking for volunteers either regularly or on an ad-hoc basis. If you are looking for catering and hospitality experience or have some spare time, please pop in for a chat or email us.
