Impulse Leisure: Cancer Prehabilitation and Rehabilitation

Exercise referral scheme improving the physical and mental health, wellbeing and fitness of people with cancer. The free programme runs for 12 weeks and includes group sessions with others in a similar situation. Sessions are designed to suit the individual's ability and fitness level and are suitable for before, during or after treatment. The scheme is available for those with any tumour sites, pre and post treatment/surgery, curative and palliative.

Our community-based program sessions cater to various stages, focusing on both physical and emotional recovery. There is also a monthly Macmillan coffee morning.

  • Tailored exercise plans for individual’s needs.
  • Small group sessions.
  • Carers are welcome if necessary.

This service can only receive referrals from social prescribers. To find out more about the scheme and how to make a referral if not a social prescriber please contact us or visit our website.
