Impulse Leisure: Stroke Rehabilitation
Exercise referral scheme for improving the mobility and strength of people who have experienced stroke. The free programme runs for 12 weeks and includes group sessions with others in a similar situation. Sessions are designed to suit the individual's ability and fitness level and are suitable for before, during or after treatment. The scheme is available for those at varying stages of disability but the patient must be able to transfer from a wheelchair or bring a carer to support.

All patients eligible for any of our health referral schemes will be recommended to join a 12 week programme. Before your programme begins you will be required to attend a consultation with one of our health professionals. This is to go over your medical history and to sign you up fully to our programme.
- Led by L4 Neurological condition instructor.
- Tailored exercise plans for individual’s needs.
- Small group sessions.
- Carers are welcome if necessary.
This service can only receive referrals from social prescribers. To find out more about the scheme and how to make a referral if not a social prescriber please contact us or visit our website.
Who can use this service?
People who have experienced stroke at varying stages of disability.
As our schemes are subsidised by us as a charity we do have a minimal charge towards the running of these sessions. Please get in touch for more information.
