Impulse Leisure: Type 1 Diabetes Scheme
Exercise referral scheme improving the physical and mental health, wellbeing and fitness of patients with Type 1 Diabetes. Blood BGL must be below 15 mmo1/L to exercise and the individual must be insulin-dependent. Our fully qualified and experienced team deliver specific group sessions for a number of interventions to help local people exercise under qualified guidance whilst also benefiting from social interaction with people in a similar situation.

All patients eligible for any of our health referral schemes will be recommended to join a 12 week programme. Before your programme begins you will be required to attend a consultation with one of our health professionals. This is to go over your medical history and to sign you up fully to our programme.

Who can use this service?
Insulin-dependent patients with Type 1 Diabetes and blood BGL below 15 mmo1/L.
As our schemes are subsidised by us as a charity we do have a minimal charge towards the running of these sessions. Please get in touch for more information.
