My name is Lara and I am a female personal assistant/support worker. I have over 10 years experience of Providing person centred support to older people and those living with mild to moderate dementia. My companionship services prevents my clients from experiencing the isolation and loneliness that often accompany old age / dementia and gives the family much needed breaks. I try to engage the client in mentally stimulating games and conversations to exercise memory functions thereby helping them to remain independent and stay active for as long as possible.

This service has been checked and verified by Thurrock Council as being a community enterprise that offers people the support they need to live the life they want – often helping with care, housing, community or health matters. The service will have the following in place: • DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check (where it is appropriate for the delivery of the service) • Public Liability Insurance • Other insurance where required. • HMRC registration (where there is a charge for a service) • Will conform to any regulations applicable to the service offered. All service providers will be happy to provide their documentation on request and prospective customers are encouraged to ask for sight of these.
