Citizens Advice Essex Energy Advice Service (funded by UKPN)
Citizens Advice Essex, in partnership with UK Power Networks, offers a free, comprehensive energy advice service aimed at helping residents across Essex and Thurrock manage their energy costs and improve home energy efficiency. Our advisers can perform benefit checks, access grants and emergency fuel payments and give energy efficiency efficiency advice. Our Energy Advisers will also triage to our other energy teams if necessary.
Delivered by experienced advisers, the service provides:
- Benefit Entitlement Checks: Ensuring you're receiving all the benefits you're eligible for.
- Income Maximisation Support: Identifying additional income sources and financial support.
- Assistance with Fuel Debt: Support in managing energy-related debts, including applications to trusts and foundations for potential debt relief.
- Energy Efficiency Advice: Guidance on reducing energy consumption and improving home energy efficiency.
- Access to Grants and Emergency Fuel Payments: Help in applying for grants for energy-saving improvements and emergency fuel support.
- Energy Tariff Guidance: Advice on selecting the most cost-effective energy tariffs.
- The service is especially beneficial for individuals responsible for paying utility bills and those experiencing or at risk of fuel poverty
