Young People Mental Health GP Service (ASOP PCN)
This service is provided for patients registered to any of the 5 GP Surgeries that fall under the Aveley, South Ockendon and Purfleet PCN, and we will assess patients experiencing mild to moderate difficulties. We help Children and Young People with: Anxiety (Including panic attacks), Low Mood, Emotional Difficulties, Attachment issues, Body Image concerns, Obsessional thoughts/ compulsive behaviour, Sleep problems, Flashbacks following a single traumatic experience, Behavioural Concerns, School refusal/ Emotional-based school avoidance due to anxiety, Relationship and friendship issues that impact mental and emotional wellbeing.

We can offer a child or young person mental health support through:
- Consultation appointments to increase understanding of how to take care of their mental health and emotional wellbeing
- 1-2-1 sessions in person to support the child or young person.
We offer assessments and evidence-based interventions for children and young people aged 5-18. This includes ASD, ADHD - please note we CANNOT diagnose or write reports for diagnoses, but can still offer support.
Professional referrals are accepted via Frontline for 5-18s under the care of Aveley, South Ockendon and Purfleet Primary Care Network (ASOP PCN). Members of the public should approach their GP surgeries, health or social professionals, so that they can make a referral on their behalf.
Please note if the child or Young Person is currently being seen by CAMHS, we will not be able to support or see the child or young person.

Who can use this service?
Available to children aged 5-18 years registered with any of the following GP surgeries: Aveley Medical Centre, Dr Yasin Surgery, Derry Court Medical Practice, Sancta Maria Centre, and Purfleet Care Centre.
Professional referrals are accepted via Frontline for under 18s under the care of ASOP PCN.
