St Helena Hospice

St Helena Hospice supports people in north east Essex facing incurable illness, helping them live well and die with dignity. Services include 24/7 care at home through Hospice in the Home, emotional and spiritual support, respite care, bereavement counselling, and the Home Ward for end-of-life care. Specialist teams offer tailored support for young adults, families, and those with complex needs. Resources like My Care Choices help patients plan ahead. Services are free of charge and open to all, regardless of faith or background.

We also offer bereavement support to all those who have been bereaved in north east Essex, regardless of the cause of death or where the individual has died.  PLEASE DO NOT REFER FOR BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT THROUGH FRONTLINE

For bereavement support, we only take referrals via our website or over the phone after a death has occurred. You can self-refer directly or be referred to us by someone who is supporting you, with your consent. Please note, we take referrals from 12 weeks after a death and they can be made directly through the St Helena Hospice website; https://sthelena.org.uk/referral-area/bereavement-services
