Safe Haven

Safe Haven is a welcoming monthly Warm Space for people who may be feeling isolated, lonely, struggling with food costs, or simply looking for a friendly place to connect. We offer a safe, relaxed community setting with hot and cold refreshments, light food, conversation, and support. The group gives people the chance to meet others, feel part of the local community, and access a warm, friendly space.

Safe Haven provides a friendly, informal space where people can come together for warmth, refreshments, food, conversation, and community support. It is designed to help reduce loneliness and isolation while offering a safe and welcoming environment. 

Who can use this service?

Anyone in the local community who is feeling lonely, isolated, struggling with food costs, or would benefit from a warm, welcoming place to meet others.

How are services delivered?

The service is delivered face to face at Gateway People’s Centre, Stanford-le-Hope, SS17 0EY. It runs on the last Wednesday of every month, except December, from 1.15 pm to 2.15 pm.
